I could settle it definitevely either way. I've never seen it run below 3.6 GHz in XP. I never found out whether it was DOA or just incompatible because I ended up with the 3690 and never looked back.
Cleaned it, reseated it, and still no boot. Chris, for us lowly single socket folks, I tried the 5687 in my 4.1 flashed to 5.1 and it was a no go.
